Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 July 2026
1. Who we are
Speak & Stay is an independent preparation service operated by Aldaim Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17327688). We help you practise for the UK settlement English requirement and the Life in the UK test. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Trinity College London, IELTS, LanguageCert, the Home Office (UKVI), or any test provider or government body. You can reach us at support@speakandstay.com.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using Speak & Stay, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
3. What we provide
Practice conversations with an AI examiner, automated marking, explanations in your language, and study materials. All results, scores, and readiness estimates are practice feedback to help you improve. They are produced by automated systems, are approximate, and may contain errors.
4. No guarantee of results
Speak & Stay does not guarantee any particular outcome. A practice result is not an official result and does not predict or promise that you will pass, or fail, any real test. Test providers set and mark the real exams, not us. You are responsible for your own preparation and for any test bookings, fees, and decisions you make.
5. Not legal or immigration advice
Nothing on Speak & Stay is legal or immigration advice. We cannot advise on your visa, settlement, or citizenship route, or on which rules apply to you. For that, speak to a regulated immigration adviser (in the UK, one registered with the OISC or a qualified solicitor).
6. Your account
You sign in with your email and password or with a Google account. Keep your login details secure and do not share your account. You must be 18 or over and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account, and you must tell us promptly if you think it has been used without your permission.
7. Acceptable use
Please use Speak & Stay only for your own preparation. Do not resell or share access, copy or scrape our content, attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, upload unlawful or harmful content, or try to manipulate the marking or examiner. We may limit, suspend, or close accounts that breach these terms.
8. Content and intellectual property
Our questions, topics, materials, software, and branding belong to Aldaim Digital Ltd or our licensors and are protected by law. You keep ownership of what you say and write in your practice; you grant us a licence to process it so we can run the service, give you feedback, and (only with your consent) improve our marking. All questions and materials are original: we do not reproduce copyrighted test papers or the Life in the UK handbook text.
9. Plans, payments, and cancellation
Some features are free; others need a paid plan. Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay. You can cancel a subscription at any time and it stays active until the end of the period you have paid for; we do not give pro-rata refunds for partial periods unless the law requires it. Under UK consumer law you have a 14-day cooling-off period on new purchases, unless you have started using the paid service in that time, in which case you may lose that right.
10. The service is provided “as is”
We work hard to make Speak & Stay useful and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not give any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the feedback and marking will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aldaim Digital Ltd is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Speak & Stay or your reliance on any practice result or feedback. This includes, without limitation, failing or not booking a test, missed deadlines, test or application fees, visa or settlement outcomes, and any indirect or consequential loss. Where we are found liable despite this, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using Speak & Stay and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if we stop offering the service. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Speak & Stay after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. For any question about these terms, email support@speakandstay.com.
